Rhode Island Rams Basketball Recruiting Notes: 2014 SG Jared Terrell

As the Rhode Island Rams basketball team continues to improve, you can bet that the quality of their recruits (and commits) will improve too. With that, Rhody is after an extremely talented player in the 2014 class… and he’s right up Route 95.

Jared Terrell will be entering his senior year at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, and he is as highly touted as anyone that Rams are after at this point. The 6’3″, 220-pounder is a four-star recruit according to both ESPN and Rivals, and he cracks the Top 20 in terms of 2014 shooting guards on several listings. He’s strong, he has speed, and the kid can flat out shoot.

That said, there are some big name schools in the mix. So Rhody has no chance, right? Not so fast…

Not only that, but Terrell was reportedly in Kingston today for a visit. Adam Finkelstein was the first to report the news:

Abu is also a big-time recruit, but URI’s chances on him are far slimmer. He could potentially end up at… the “other” school in Rhode Island. But no matter – the Rams are all in on Terrell.

Can you imagine a backcourt of E.C. Matthews and Terrell going forward? Let’s hope Hurley, Murray, and Co. were able to woo Terrell in his visit today; there’s no doubt that he would be a HUGE pickup for the 2014 season.
