Our state. Our team.

The Rhode Island Rams will welcome the Providence Friars to the Ryan Center in a little under an hour as the annual in-state rivalry is on once again. Suffice it to say, the place should be rocking tonight, especially with students, as there has certainly been a lot to talk about when it comes to these two teams and their history. But first, a few breaking news pieces courtesy of Twitter:

So one Mike out, another Mike in. Rhody could have certainly used both tonight. It’s good to see Aaman back because the Rams will need some help down low. But URI could also use Powell tonight, especially when it comes to guarding Cotton. Powell’s role has been reduced as of late, as he played just one minute on Saturday versus George Mason. But he’s still a valuable piece to this team, even if he’s now coming off the bench. We’ll keep an eye on that story over the next few days.

In the meantime, check out our preview for this game, as well as our five keys to a Rhody victory. Also check out our conversation with Play For the Garden, who provided us with some more detail about the Friars.

We’ll be providing up-to-the-minute updates on the action on both Facebook and Twitter. Check us out there, or leave your in-game thoughts in the comments below and follow along here with other Ram fans. GO RHODY!
