Here’s everything you need to know about Rhody’s second signed running back of the day:
Hometown: Wayne, NJ
High School: DePaul Catholic
Weight: 225 lbs
Most Rhody fans already have high hopes for running back Harold Cooper, but Clarke could be an excellent compliment to Cooper’s speed. Clarke has wheels of his own, but it’s his strength that sets up apart from most other RBs, and it could potentially give the Rams a nice balance in the backfield. Here’s a few more notes on Clarke:
A powerful back, Clarke led DePaul Catholic to a New Jersey Parochial Group 2 state championship. He earned All-State, All-Passaic County, All-Parochial and All-Big North recognition after averaging 8.3 yards per carry as a senior. Clarke rushed for more than 1,000 yards and scored nine touchdowns as a senior.
Who’s excited about this running back corps next season?
