Here we go again. The Jared Terrell hysteria was in full swing for Rhody fans about six months ago when the Rams were one of several teams vying for his services. But back on September 7th, the highly touted 2014 shooting guard announced his commitment to Travis Ford and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. It wasn’t an easy pill for the URI faithful to swallow, especially since reports had Rhode Island in Terrell’s final four. But the tweets, rumors, and message board posts were pretty epic during his recruitment.
So let’s do it again, shall we? News surfaced today that Terrell asked for, and was granted, his release from Oklahoma State. Alex Kline was the first to report the news via Twitter.
2014 Brewster Academy (NH) SG Jared Terrell has been granted a release from his NLI at Oklahoma State, he tells me.

Jeff Borzello of CBS Sports later confirmed the news, and now the one of the best New England prospects is back on the market.
Terrell had nothing but good things to say when he officially signed his NLI in December, but who knows what has changed since then. But if URI was heavily involved with the star guard before, it stands to reason that they’ll be in the mix again. Dan Hurley and Co. still have two scholarships open for the 2014-15 season. So strap in – we’re a little less than a month away from the end of the regular signing period.
