So with Jared Terrell now locked in, the Rhode Island Rams have just one open scholarship left for the 2014-15 season.
Maybe not. Lost in the shuffle of the Terrell excitement was this piece of news from the South County Independent’s Bill Koch.

And this from the Providence Journal:
There is also a chance that Mike Powell, a junior who left the team at midseason due to a lack of playing time, will return to the program. Powell completed his junior year at URI this spring and may choose to remain at the school.
Whoa. This is an interesting development, especially since Rhody is in on 6’7″ swingman Jeremiah Ingram. Could that now be off the table?
In case you forgot, Mike Powell requested his release from URI back in December of last year, and he was expected to transfer. But Powell hasn’t left the university yet, and Rhody might see the return of not one but two familiar faces next season.
Notice we said “might”. There’s still time for this to all be sorted out, and it’s certainly possible for URI to make some additional moves.
I don't think URI is necessarily done as far as building next year's roster
