What Rhody Fans Remember
In just two career games versus the Rams, Reddic has made his presence felt. In his only game at the Ryan Center, the then-junior was outstanding. Juvonte racked up a double-double against URI, posting 19 points while grabbing 12 rebounds in 32 minutes. This season, Reddic was just as good. He again reached double figures in points (14) and rebounds (11) in just 22 minutes of work as VCU dispatched Rhode Island with ease.
While he may need to hone his stills on both end of the floor in order to really succeed in the NBA, there’s no doubt that Reddic is a physical beast. At the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament in April, the VCU star displayed a 7’0.5″ wingspan, a 8’11″ standing reach, and a 27.5″ vertical leap. Simply put, he has some gifts that coaches can work with. While his offense and defense need work, we’re thinking that there will be more than a few teams willing to take a shot with Reddic. Unfortunately, it’s more likely that he’ll be an undrafted invite to a Summer League team.
