Hey, so this is awesome. The NCAA has ruled Jordan Hare eligible immediately following a 2013-14 season in which the Michigan native sat out due to personal reasons. Bill Koch of the South County Independent was the first to report the news on Twitter:
BREAKING: @rhodymbb sophomore Jordan Hare granted NCAA appeal; eligible to play immediately, URI sources confirm to the Independent.

The strange thing is… it wasn’t really known that Hare was dealing with any eligibility issues. Sure, Hare had to get his academics in order after being away from the team (and the school) for much of the year last season. But most fans, present company included, thought that once it was announced that Hare was returning to the Rams, things were pretty well worked out.
But that was not the case. So hey, the NCAA did something right for once, it seems. And a question that fans didn’t even know was on the list coming into this year has been answered. Jordan Hare is back and he’s ready (and eligible) to roll.
Let’s just start the games, already.
