The Rhode Island Rams received a signed commitment from kicker Justin Rohrwasser today as part of National Signing Day. The signing was first announced via URI football’s official Twitter account.

Landing a kicker isn’t exactly a glamorous signing, but it’s an important one, especially looking at Rhody’s kicking game from a year ago. Here’s more on Rohrwasser.

Here’s a little more on those kicking game struggles: URI connected on just two of their five field goal attempts last season, good for just a 40% conversion rate. And the five attempts indicates how confident Coach Fleming was in even attempting field goals. The Rams also made just 11 of their 13 extra points.
