The Rhode Island Rams received a signed commitment from quarterback Wesley McKoy today as part of National Signing Day 2015. The signing was first announced via URI football’s official Twitter account.

Of all the five QBs to sign today, McKoy is likely the most mobile. Here’s more.

Hometown: Ramsey, NJ
High School: Don Bosco Preparatory High School
Position: QB
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 185 lbs
Twitter: @wesmckoy

So about that mobility… McKoy contributed 36 touchdowns in his senior season at Don Bosco: 24 through the air and another 12 on the ground for a nice even 2:1 ratio. There are more than a few mobile quarterbacks in the CAA, and although URI doesn’t need one in order to compete, it couldn’t hurt. If McKoy can do it, that is. The hardest part of the transition to the FCS is usually the passing. If the New Jersey native can stay under control in the pocket, he’ll have a great chance to make his mark for the Rams.

Check out some of his highlights.
