Graduate transfer Khris Lane will take a visit to URI next weekend, per a report. The 6’6″ forward is eligible to play immediately.
The Rhode Island Rams still have one scholarship spot open for the 2017-18 season. And, based on several reports, they’d prefer to fill it with a)
a forward, and b) a guy who can play right away. Well, Longwood grad transfer Khris Lane checks both of those boxes. And he’ll visit Kingston the weekend of April 15th, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Lane is a 6’6″, 245 pound forward out of Richmond, VA, and his next school will be the third of his career. He played his freshman year at Drexel, but appeared in just four games before transferring out at the end of the season. After sitting a year, Lane played the last two seasons for Longwood in the Big South. And he saw his numbers improve dramatically.
In 30 games last season, Lane averaged 17.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists while shooting it at 53.7 percent. He also drained 33.7 percent of his threes — which will translate at any level. For his career, Lane is averaging 11.9 points and 6.3 rebounds.
