Rhode Island Basketball: Annual URI vs PC Game Set for December 1st
As has been the case recently, Rhode Island basketball will square off against PC in early December. This year’s game is set for Saturday, December 1st.
This one isn’t exactly breaking news. But it’ll at least give Rhody fans something to circle on their calendar. Per a report, the Rhode Island Rams will play their annual game against PC on Saturday, December 1st. No word on a tip-off time yet, however. Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports had the news.

The reason this isn’t a huge shocker is because URI has been battling the Friars on the first weekend of December for some time now. Check the last three games: December 2, 2017, December 3, 2016, and December 5, 2015. All Saturdays. You have to go all the way back to Wednesday, December 10, 2014 to buck the trend.
Really the only new thing about the game this coming season is… Rhody will be trying for their second win in a row. Yep, the Rams knocked off Providence for the first time in seven years back in December. That game was at the Ryan Center, however. This season’s showdown will be played at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, where the Rams haven’t won since *gulp* 2002.
David Cox will be trying to do several things Dan Hurley never did, and winning at PC is certainly one of them. The countdown is on… we’re less than seven months away from the Rhode Island basketball staple.
